Corcovado National Park Hike

     Option N° 1 San Pedrillo Ranger Station at Corcovado. One day

HIGHLIGHTS :

A minibus will pick you up  in  Uvita at 6:30a.m. and drive for 1 hour south to Sierpe, there you can take your breakfast before the departure  (not included in the price of the tour). You can also drive yourself 1 hour 15 minutes south until sierpe and meet them at 8 :00am.

Then it will be a 1,5 hour boat ride first through Sierpe mangrove swamps (a great chance to spot wildlife such as crocodiles, monkeys, birds, sloth) and then through the ocean toward the National Park San Pedrillo Station . At the park, you will do a hike  from 3 to 4 hours and then have lunch. You will return to Uvita  around 4-5  pm.

U$100 per person leaving from sierpe  (includes boat  transportation, bilingual guide, park entrance fee, bottled water, lunch, fruit). If you need ground transportation it is U$15 additional.

Recommended for the ones that prefer shorter hikes  and no more that 1.5 hour per way by boat.

Option N° 2 Sirena Biological Station

HIGHLIGHTS :

This station is in the heart of Corcovado, which gives visitors a great chance to spot exotic wildlife. This tour departs from Sierpe at around 7 a.m. The tour starts with a 2,5 hour boat ride first through Sierpe mangrove swamps.

Then, you go out into the sea. In Sirena, you  will do a hike from 3 to 4 hours through its net of trails and have lunch in the Park. The tour returns around 2 or 3 p.m. depending on the weather conditions.

Recommended for the adventures ones, it is a long day of 4-5 hour boat ride but it is really  worth it if you are a wildlife lover !
